Get to Know Ms. Johnson!
My name is Ms. Johnson and I am excited to be your student's teacher for the 2022-2023 school year! I graduated from Azusa Pacific University (near L.A) in 2015 with my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education). I completed a year of graduate school in order to receive a teaching license and endorsements in English Language Learners and Middle School Math. I student taught in both fourth grade and first grade. Last year I completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Gifted Education from Liberty University.
I enjoy reading, crafting, and drinking coffee. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and have themed the classroom in order to reflect this awesome series! I also recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate and teach yoga at a gym near my house.
This is my seventh year with District 142 and my sixth full year at Kerkstra. I am blessed to be part of an awesome fourth grade team and I am truly looking forward to learning and growing with all of Room 29 this year!
